Mental & Menstrual Health Support
Supporting the mental health of caregivers and promoting menstrual health education in underserved communities. We provide psychosocial support, training in reusable pad making, and GBV awareness campaigns.
Our Mental & Menstrual Health Support program addresses critical health gaps in rural communities, particularly for women and caregivers facing extreme stress and limited resources.
In communities affected by Nodding Disease Syndrome (NDS), caregivers—often mothers—experience severe mental strain from watching their children suffer. Our program provides psychosocial support and counseling to help these caregivers cope.
We also address menstrual health barriers that keep girls out of school by training women and girls in making reusable sanitary pads from locally available materials, ensuring sustainable access to menstrual products.
Program components include:
- Psychosocial support for NDS caregivers
- Menstrual health education and awareness
- Reusable sanitary pad making training
- GBV awareness and prevention campaigns
- Community health outreach programs
